Fair Wear Foundation

At Schijvens Corporate Fashion and therefore also T’riffic, we work together with the Fair Wear Foundation. Fair Wear Foundation is committed to good working conditions in the clothing industry and monitors our factories. We are assessed annually on our performance with regard to social working conditions in the garment factories we work with. 100% of the factories where Schijvens produces Corporate Fashion are under the control of this organization.

We are working on improving the working environment in collaboration with the factory. Because of the good steps we have taken from 2010 and all the improvements we have made, we are now a Leader at Fair Wear Foundation, this is the highest category and we received a score of 97 out of 100 points! You can read this for yourself on fairwear.org, where all brand performance checks of all affiliated brands can be found publicly.

LIVING WAGE

In the clothing industry, workers are usually paid below the living wage, which is not sufficient for basic needs. In order to still earn enough, people often work overtime. And too low a salary can even encourage child labour. At Schijvens Corporate Fashion we believe that the basic wage should be sufficient to earn a living. Schijvens Corporate Fashion always investigates whether the cost price is sufficient to pay a living wage. If so, we will check with FWF whether the factory actually pays a living wage to the employees. If not, we will increase the cost price in such a way that a living wage can be paid.
