About T’riffic Fair Wear
Fair Wear Foundation
At Schijvens Corporate Fashion and, therefore, also at T'riffic, we work in collaboration with Fair Wear Foundation. Fair Wear Foundation is dedicated to ensuring good working conditions in the clothing industry and monitors our factories. Our performance with regard to the social labour conditions in the clothing factories where we manufacture is evaluated on an annual basis. 100% of the factories in which Schijvens Corporate Fashion manufactures clothing are monitored by this organisation.
We work to improve the work environment in collaboration with the factory. The action we have taken since 2010 and the changes we have implemented have resulted in us being named a ‘Leader’ by Fair Wear Foundation, the highest category, and we were given a score of 96 out of 100 points! You can read about this on fairwear.org, where all brand performance checks of all participating brands are published.
In the clothing industry, employees are usually paid less than a living wage, which is therefore insufficient to cover their basic needs. Often, this means they must work long hours to earn enough money. A very low wage can even encourage child labour. At Schijvens Corporate Fashion, we believe that a basic wage must be sufficient to cover the cost of living. Schijvens Corporate Fashion continually checks whether our cost prices are sufficient to pay a living wage. If so, we talk with FWF or the factory to see if a living wage can be paid to the employees. If not, we increase our cost prices to ensure that a living wage can be paid.
Why fair wear
If you choose the Fair Wear collection, you are choosing a socially sustainable and, most importantly, a FAIR product.
